The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. There are 16 types in total. Each type consists of four letters that tell how a person interacts with themselves and others.
Letter #1: Introvert vs Extravert Edit
At the beginning of each type, there will be a letter I or E. If you have an I at the beginning, you are an introvert. Introverts are quiet, observant, people who prefer to spend time alone rather than with other people. These types of people may actually like social interaction very much, but need time alone to recharge their "personal batteries." They often listen more than talk when it comes to conversations, and do not like noise or crowds.
Extraverts, on the other hand, love social interaction and need time with other people in order to be stable. They are easily likeable friends or leaders, and find being alone quite boring. They are very attracting to introverts because of their social nature, which is appreciated in culture.
Letter #2: Sensing vs Intuitive Edit
The next letter will be either an S or an N. The letter S people are sensors, which are about 70% of the population. Sensors like using observations made by the five senses to form opinions. They are very detail-oriented, and are more likely to base their ideas off a situation in the world around them. They need proof to accept something, and are always wanting an answer. When told that something incredible might be done, they ask, "But how can it be done?"
